This tool is intended for volunteers and volunteer managers. It assesses the users knowledge and skills across a number of relevant areas, identifying training courses most suitable to their needs.
The
self assessment tool is structured in relation to four thematic domains:
- Project Management
- Financial Management
- Communication & Public Relations and Public Speaking
- HR Management and Volunteer management
The number of thematic domains you assess yourself against is up to you (e.g., you can choose just one or all four).
For each domain the assessment takes approximately
10 minutes.
In each of the following pages you will be asked to answer
three multiple-choice questions relating to a specific subject:
- the first question aims to assess your interest and confidence towards a specific subject
- the second question aims to assess your proficiency level in a specific subject,
- the third question aims to assess the way you would react in a specific situation.
Depending on the different type of query and subject, you will find questions which are very brief and simple and others much longer and apparently complex.
However, please bear in mind that
there are no completely right and wrong questions; the answer options reflect different approaches to the specific subjects.
Therefore it is extremely important that you answer the questions honestly according to your personal views.
The
Self assessment tool is an instrument that helps you to identify your own training needs.
Nobody except you will have access to the results of your assessment. All of the answers you provide will be automatically examined by the computer system. The answers will remain confidential and anonymous.
At the end of the self-assessment test, a list of recommended courses to address your learning needs will be displayed. Regardless of test results, you are welcome at any time to access any other course you might be interested in, among those ones available on the platform.
Furthermore, you can repeat the self-assessment test as many times as you wish. The computer system will generate new questions from time to time.
You will have the possibility to comment on the tool and in particular to point out which questions were tricky and why. Your suggestions will be crucial, helping us to develop a more effective tool.
